Chaz Parker first picked up drum sticks at
the young age of eight. After many days of banging pots and pans in his bedroom, his parents finally enrolled him in private
lessons, and purchased a real drum set.
Chaz took private lessons for many years where
he learned the fundamentals of drum set drumming.
In school he continued
learning all the elements of concert percussion ranging from the snare drum to tympani.
At the age of thirteen, Chaz joined the Lake
Band in Milwaukee where he continued concert performance and found new fun in marching and drum corps.
In high school he landed a spot in the pit
orchestra for the production “Free to Be You and Me”. After this performance run, Chaz was nominated to the Civic
